June 5th was a great night at Gabe's in Iowa City as Joe Bartel and Admiral Fox set the stage on fire, marking the start of their tour. The crowd was treated to the incredible talent of local musician Gunk Lung, who kicked off the evening with an acoustic set, setting the perfect mood for the rest of the night.

It was Joe Bartel's first time performing in Iowa City, and he had Maddie Thies joining him on bass. Let me tell you, Bartel's music was something else. It had this crazy ability to make us laugh while also plunging us into a state of existential dread. It was a wild ride, but the crowd loved every minute of it. 

Admiral Fox's return to Iowa City, where his musical journey first began, was a joyous occasion. The presence of his old friends, cheering him on with unwavering support and enthusiasm throughout the entire set, added an extra layer of warmth and nostalgia to the memorable evening. 

It was a night of pure musical magic, where laughter, introspection, and good vibes collided in the best possible way.
