Little Image, hailing from Dallas, Texas, made their way through to Kilby Court in Salt Lake City. The alternative band consisting of Jack Simmons (Vocals/Guitar), Troy Bruner (Drummer), and Brandon Walters (Keys/Bass), exploded with an energy I’ve yet to see come through Kilby myself. Their sound similar to 21 Pilots, Panic! At The Disco, and COIN; They are currently on tour for their latest release “SELF TITLED”.
Their show started off with ‘EGO’, which is personally one of my favorite songs off of their latest release. Singer, Jack, comes across with a very melodic tone on their actual records and it is virtually the exact same live. His energy alone was enough to keep the crowd entranced as they moved through their set list for the night. They played the entire album, along with a few of their previous releases throughout the night, keeping the energy blasting even when they chose to slow it down.
The music and performance is very reminiscent of a 21 Pilots show, especially Troy’s bit where he had members of the crowd holding up some drums for him to play, involving their viewers in the most exciting way possible. Beyond loving and appreciative of those who were in attendance, Little Image is very fond of SLC and it’s people, and the feeling is most certainly returned.
I was in amazement as I watched, and an instant fan of their live performances. I found out about them about 2 weeks prior to the show and quickly loved their music, so I had high hopes. Little Image is a band I not only suggest, but beg, anyone who reads this, to go see live as soon as you can. They play quite a show, not one cent will go to waste.
