INDIGO HALL + METACOGNATE
Metacognate and Indigo Hall came together with friends, Metra, to raise money for the July 4th Highland Park Community Foundation and help support the community!
Indigo Hall consists of Gabe Kuchan, Danny Perez, Chase Wilkins, and James H. Metacognate consists of Eliza Lampert, Richard Heller, Gabe Kuchan, Nate Wilson, and Vince Lohnes. The two bands came together with friends, Metra, to raise money for the July 4th Highland Park Community Foundation and help support the community!
Allie- What instruments do you all play?
Nate- I play bass.
Eliza- I sing.
Vince- I play drums.
Richard- I play guitar.
Gabe- I play guitar
James- I play guitar
Danny- I play bass.
Chase- *not present but he plays the drums*
Allie- How did you all meet and form these bands?
Eliza- The short version is School of Rock, besides Gabe
Richard- I met Gabe at Martyrs, at a gig, and we’ve been best friends ever since.
Eliza- Richard and I also go to school together.
Gabe- I met Indigo Hall through a Berklee program with James, and I’ve known James since I was about two years old. Chase and Danny are really good friends because of jazz, and he brought Danny in. I met Metacognate through a jazz gig with Nate.
Allie- What first got you guys into music?
Gabe- My parents threw me in lessons when I was four years old, I hated the violin and banjo but loved guitar.
Danny- My grandfather was always into music and I was put onto jazz and it changed everything.
Nate- My grandfather was a classical trombonist, my parents were both singers, and my oldest sibling was a classical trumpet player.
Eliza- I sort of just gravitate towards music.
Allie- Can you tell us some of your pre-show rituals?
Nate- Eliza and I like to warm our voices up-
Eliza- Yeah, we do vocal warm ups together.
Allie- As such young artists, what are you most proud of so far?
Nate- I’m most proud of the fact that I’m going to actually professionally record an album before I go to college.
Danny- I’m proud that I’ve been given so many opportunities with jazz and meeting these cats, it’s been really amazing.
