Asking Alexandria - All My Friends Tour
I was beyond thrilled to cover Asking Alexandria’s All My Friends tour before the group heads off for their international dates. Featuring Memphis May Fire (on select nights), The Word Alive, and Archers, this tour is a perfect homage to the early 2000s emo scene, bringing back that raw, nostalgic energy we all grew up on.
Archers, hailing from Wisconsin, brought along a fiercely dedicated fan base right at the barricade. It’s always a blast to see fans that hyped, getting to experience their favorite artist live—and being so close? Absolute dream come true. Their sound carried hints of All Time Low mixed with the early days of Escape the Fate, back when Ronnie Radke was on vocals. They won me over just from that incredible sound alone. If you haven’t listened to them yet, I highly recommend giving them a shot!
Following the Midwest metalcore acts, our friends from Arizona absolutely stole the stage. The Word Alive has an undeniable presence that pulls you right in. Telle, on vocals, brings one of the best, most intense energies in the game. I’ve had the chance to see them a few times over the past year, and somehow, they just keep getting better each time.
As Asking Alexandria took over the stage, their energy was just as fiery and passionate as it was years ago. It was my first time finally seeing them live, and watching my fellow elder emos reliving their youth was something that truly healed me. The entire group poured everything into that performance, especially bassist Sam Bettley and guitarist Cameron Liddell, who matched the crowd’s energy right from the start. Danny Worsnop’s vocals were just as powerful and melodic as ever, a perfect fit for the genre, and he completely owned the stage. He had the crowd singing right back to him as much as he sang to us, and that interaction was magic—the kind that makes concerts unforgettable. Danny’s playful antics and how he engaged with the crowd were easily my favorite moments of the night. Even though the band has grown and evolved, they’re still very much the group I grew up with, and that nostalgia hit in the best way.
Follow the guys on tour with another personal favorite of mine, Falling in Reverse, starting December 10th in the UK. The Popular Monstour has a stellar lineup you absolutely don’t want to miss!
